PaddleFit Basic: The PaddleFit Basic class will introduce you to the sport of Stand-Up Paddling (SUP). Our coaches will teach you the fundamentals of SUP in a fun and safe environment. PaddleFit Basic will help you build the foundation for your future paddling endeavors. You will need to be comfortable in the water as well as be able to swim. You do not need to have prior paddling experience to take this class. Time: 1 hour

This class is perfect for first-timers, novices and those interested in rentals. We'll start out on land, then spend as much time on the water as possible. We cover safety, getting on & off the board in different situations, stance & positioning, developing an efficient paddle stroke and turning the board. Time permitting, we'll also go over basics of board design and how to load/unload & secure your board to your vehicle.

All lessons Include board, paddle, leash, PFD & whistle. We recommend dressing for the water. You may not get wet. Though, you should dress as if you plan on it. We also recommend water shoes to protect your feet around shorelines and boat landings. Other recommended items include sunscreen, towel, floating strap for your sunglasses, hat, etc.

Rates are per person. As an added bonus, we will apply half of your lesson fees towards the purchase of a new SUP! (Per individual. Purchase must be made within one month of your lesson.)
